Proposed Analysis: | 1. Predict the Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) status with brain MR images. 2. Predict the AD progression using MR images as well as the available clinical and genomic data. Using the MR data in the ADNI database, we aim to first develop a model that will classify AD status using only the brain MR images. Regions/features that contribute most to AD classification will be determined. This model will then be expanded to predict AD progression by integrating the MR imaging data with the clinical and genomic data. Our deep-learning based model will utilize the longitudinal data in ADNI for feature-selection and progression prediction. Predictions from this integrative model (clinical, genomic, and MR) will be compared to predictions made using the MR images alone to determine whether the clinical and genomic features enhance prediction accuracy. |
