Proposed Analysis: | Greetings. My name is Jose Pineda. I am a medical doctor and researcher at the University of Barcelona and University of Vic (Barcelona), Spain. Our research is mainly on neuroscience and neurosurgery. First of all, We want to congratulate the ADNI team for the great work they have been doing over the years. Undoubtedly, the study of Alzheimer's and the rest of the neurological diseases associated with dementia is one of the most important topics today in neurological research. We would like to request access to the dataset. In our group, we want to try to find a relationship between the different dysfunctions produced by Alzheimer's and changes in brain connectomics and large brain networks, with relevant clinical outcomes. We believe that using tractography techniques, functional techniques, and genetic information could contribute to the search for markers, either diagnostic or predictors of the evolution of the disease. In addition, we intend to use machine learning technologies to improve the knowledge of the changes Alzheimer's produce in the human brain. Also, as a secondary objective, we would like to prepare our field for studies regarding the new drug Aducanumab, looking for the most suitable markers to assess its efficacy in a long- term treatment protocol. Hoping you will take this request into consideration, have our best regards. Jose Pineda, MD. University of Vic & Hospital Clínic de Barcelona University of Barcelona |
