Proposed Analysis: | Title: Predicting Brain Aging in Neurodegenerative Diseases with Neuroimaging Data To whom it may concern, The process of aging is dynamic and complex, and it is accompanied by cumulative age-related damage in different organs, including the brain. To date, the “brain age” is one promising signature of age-related alterations which can be assessed by structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or other neuroimaging data. To disclose the relationships between brain aging and clinical phenotype in neurodegenerative diseases, we request ADNI data and will integrate with our local study cohort from Sun Yat-sen University for developing a useful framework to measure and predict brain aging. We will use aforementioned neuroimaging data to set up machine learning models in School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University and the analysis plans at least include: (1) Building up a “brain age” prediction model based on deep learning framework; (2) Training and validation of machine learning models for classifying patients with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and Mild Cognitive Impairment, as well as healthy control; (3) Investigating the associations between brain aging and radiomic features or brain structural connectome. Please let me know if anything else paperwork we should do.
